Elston Howard smacked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Turk Farrell pitched 8
strong innings as the Cleveland Buckeyes beat the San Francisco Golden Seals
by a score of 9 to 1.
The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Howard.  He cracked a solo homerun in the 2nd inning, stroked a
single in the 4th inning and smashed a two-run homer (his 3rd of the season)
in the 7th inning.  For the game Cleveland out-hit San Francisco 13 to 4.
The victory went to Farrell(2-0) who went 8 innings, allowing 1 run. Hal
Brown(0-2) took the loss.  He pitched 4 innings and surrendered 7 hits and no
walks.
