Bob Allison blasted a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Washington Senators topped
the Chicago River Dogs in 10 innings by a score of 10 to 9 at D.C.
Stadium.
Both teams were tied at 7 runs apiece after nine innings. Washington was
victorious in the 10th inning.  Jim Fregosi began the Washington spurt when
he ripping a solo home run (his 1st of the season).  Donn Clendenon was next
and he laced a one-base hit.  Two outs later Jackie Brandt stepped up to the
plate and he blasted a two-run home run (his 1st of the season) giving
Washington the win much to the delight of the home town crowd.  Washington
had a total of 11 hits for the game.  
Claude Raymond(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 2/3 of an inning and
allowing 1 run. Stu Miller(0-1) ended up with the loss in relief.
