Ken Boyer hit 2 doubles and scored 3 times as the Chicago River Dogs defeated
the Washington Senators by the score of 6 to 2 at D.C. Stadium.
Chicago jumped on top to stay in the 3rd inning when they scored 2 runs on 3
hits.  The critical plate appearance was by George Thomas who silenced the
crowd when he singled bringing in two baserunners.  For the game Chicago
out-hit Washington 12 to 4.  
Wally Bunker(2-0) allowed 2 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Bunker got help from Stu Miller who earned his 1st save.  Mickey
Lolich(0-1) took the loss.  He allowed 9 hits and 6 walks in 5 innings.
