Orlando Pena finished beautifully as the Boston Beaneaters defeated the Los
Angeles Angels by the score of 11 to 8 at Fenway Park.
Tim McCarver had a big day at the plate. He doubled plating a run in the 2nd
inning and smashed a two-run homer (his 1st of the season) in the 3rd inning.
Jim Perry(1-0) got help from Pena who pitched a perfect ninth and was
credited with his 1st save.

hit without retiring a batter.
