The San Francisco Golden Seals defeated the Los Angeles Angels by a score of
7 to 3 at Angel Stadium.
San Francisco brought 3 runs across the plate in the top of the 4th inning
with the help of 3 hits.  Doug Rader led off and started the attack as he
delivered a base-hit.  Bob Johnson followed and he popped a two-run clout
over the fence (his 1st of the season).  George Scott then tripled.  Rico
Carty stepped in and he would ground out scoring the final run of the inning.
San Francisco ended up with 10 hits for the game while Los Angeles had 4.
The victory went to Joe Horlen(2-0) who went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs. Earl
Wilson(0-2) suffered the loss.  By giving up 7 runs in 7 innings his ERA
increased from 4.05 to 6.59.
