The Los Angeles Angels edged the Seattle Red Barons at Angel Stadium by the
score of 5 to 4.
Los Angeles had the winning rally in the bottom of the 8th inning with 2 runs.
After an out was recorded, Dick McAuliffe got things rolling when he drew a
walk.  Felipe Alou was next and he smacked a single.  Alou took his lead and
swiped second.  Moe Drabowsky then threw a wild pitch which scored a run.
Hank Aaron came to the plate and hit a deep fly scoring the final run of the
inning.  Vicente Romo, after tossing a perfect ninth, was credited with his
1st save.  
Don McMahon(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 2 innings. Steve
Hamilton(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief.  He surrendered 2 runs and
1 hit in 1/3 of an inning.
