In a close game it was the San Francisco Golden Seals 4, the Albuquerque Dukes
2 at Chase Field.
San Francisco brought 3 runs across the plate in the 3rd inning when they had
4 base hits. The early run support proved sufficient for Chuck Taylor(1-0)
and San Francisco. That was all the run support Taylor required.
Albuquerque proved to be no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.
Taylor got help from Jack Aker who earned his 2nd save. Bill Hands(1-1) was
the loser. Despite the loss, he struckout 10 San Francisco batters in 7 innings.
