Right fielder Al Kaline had 3 base hits as the Springfield Bulls defeated the
Baltimore Orioles in 10 innings 5 to 4 at Illini Reservation.
The score was tied at 4 after nine.  Springfield came out on top in the 10th
inning.  Kaline smacked a single.  After an out was recorded, Ted Simmons
stepped in and he doubled giving Springfield the victory as 47,124 happy fans
celebrated wildly.  Springfield out-hit Baltimore for the game, 15 hits to 8.
Lloyd Allen(1-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. Ken Sanders(0-2)
was the loser in relief.  He allowed 4 hits and no walks in 1 inning.
