Willie Davis slammed a homerun at Raley Field as the San Francisco Golden
Seals beat the Sacramento River Cats in 10 innings 9 to 5.
The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings.  San Francisco was victorious
in the 10th inning.  The crucial at-bat was provided by Bill North who
deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he lined a base-hit bringing
in two baserunners.  Overall San Francisco out-hit Sacramento 14 to 7.
John Hiller(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings. Sparky
Lyle(0-1) took the loss in relief.  He gave up 4 hits and 1 walk in 1 and 1/3 innings.
