Seals topped the Sacramento River Cats by the slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.
Dock Ellis(1-1) pitched a fine game. He was reached for 3 hits and 2 walks in
6 innings lowering his ERA from 10.80 to 4.91. Sacramento had a chance in
the 9th but they came up short.
Steve Mingori earned the save, his 1st. The loss was charged to Alan
Foster(1-1). 'It's a disheartening loss, no question about it' said Larry
Reeves 'But we have to get over it and get ready for the next game.'
