The Vancouver Canadians edged the Boston Beaneaters in 11 innings at Fenway
Park by the score of 7 to 6.
Both teams had scored 6 runs after nine full innings.  Vancouver came out the
victor in the 11th inning.  After an out was recorded, Larry Hisle drew a
walk.  One out later, Larry Bowa stepped in and he hit a single.  Bowa took
second on the throw.  Boston was set down quietly in the bottom of the 11th.
Jim Barr(1-0) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the win. Doyle
Alexander(0-1) was tagged with the loss in relief.  He pitched 2 innings and
surrendered 2 hits and 2 walks.
