Bob Bailey cracked a homer and had 3 RBI as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated
the Cleveland Indians 8 to 6 at Municipal Stadium.
Pittsburgh set the tone of the game in the first inning scoring 2 runners on 2
hits.  Cleveland threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.  
Tom Seaver(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings.
Bill Campbell recorded his 1st save.  Bruce Dal Canton(0-1) absorbed the
loss.  He gave up 7 runs in 6 innings of work.  
'We lose our concentration for one pitch, and we lose the game.' Craig
Cunningham said after the game.  'Maybe now these guys will listen when I say
they have to concentrate on EVERY pitch.'
