Bert Campaneris had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Chesapeake Bays bested the
Vancouver Canadians 8 to 3 at Nat Bailey Stadium.
Vancouver fell behind quickly as the Chesapeake offense came through in the
first inning as they scored 3 runs on 2 base hits.  The big moment was
provided by Amos Otis who silenced the crowd when he doubled bringing home
two baserunners.  Both teams ended up with 9 hits on the night.  
Mike Caldwell(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. The
loss was charged to Steve Rogers(0-1).  He was hit hard and gave up 8 hits
and 4 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
