George Scott slammed a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Cleveland Indians topped
the Minnesota Xpress by a score of 12 to 6 at Xpress Stadium.
Scott enjoyed a fine evening at the plate.  He smashed a two-run homer in the
4th inning, laced a single in the 4th inning and singled bringing in a run in
the 6th inning.  Cleveland totaled 14 hits on the night.  
The winning pitcher was John Montefusco(1-0) who allowed 6 runs in 8 and 1/3
innings. Rick Reuschel(0-1) was the losing pitcher.  He surrended 3 homeruns
in his 3 and 2/3 innings.
