Roy White had 2 base hits at Municipal Stadium where the Minnesota Xpress beat
the Cleveland Indians 4 to 2.
Minnesota came up with the deciding runs in the 9th inning plating 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits.  Sal Bando led off and started the attack as he
reached on an error.  After an out was recorded, Tony Solaita stepped up to
the plate and he clubbed a two-run home run.  Both teams finished the game
with 7 hits.  
The winning pitcher was Marty Pattin(1-0) who allowed no runs in 2 innings.
Dave Laroche gained credit for his 1st save.  Rollie Fingers(2-1) was hit
with the loss in relief.
