Dennis Leonard allowed Rick Byrens to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Los Angeles Angels defeated the Chicago Fire 6 to 1 at Angel Stadium.
Eddie Murray made sure the Los Angeles fans enjoyed themselves. He doubled in the 5th inning and launched a Grand Slam homerun in the 6th inning. Los Angeles had just 6 hits for the night.
