With the hometown crowd on the edge of their seats, Chicago Fire came from
behind to top Albuquerque Dukes, 7 to 6.
Chicago erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning with 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits.  Reggie Jackson kicked off the action when he drew a
walk.  Davey Johnson followed next and he was hit by a pitch.  Dave Winfield
then lined a single resulting in a run.  Ellis Valentine stepped in and he
slapped a one-base hit making Chicago the winners and sending the 36,447 fans
home happy.  It was roller coaster of a game as the lead change hands 5 times.  
Steve Foucault(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Dick Drago(0-2)
took the loss in relief.  He allowed 2 hits and 2 walks in 1 inning.  
'What a game!,' Foucault said afterward.  'When we won it I almost couldn't
believe it!'
