44,029 fans were treated to a fine game at Chase Field as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The Albuquerque Dukes won by the
slimmest of margins, 2 to 1.
The game was deadlocked at 1 after nine full innings.  Albuquerque won the
hard fought contest in the 10th inning.  After two outs Elias Sosa laced a
one-base hit.  Rennie Stennett followed next and he doubled.  Terry Puhl then
lashed a single resulting in an exciting win for Albuquerque and a wild
post-game celebration by the home town fans.  Albuquerque won despite being
out-hit by Houston 13 hits to 9.  
Sosa(2-0) allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the victory.
Dennis Lamp(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He surrendered 1 run and
3 hits in 2/3 of an inning.
