Al Oliver collected 3 extra-base hits and Scott McGregor pitched 4 strong
innings as the Queens Kings outscored the Texas Rangers in 10 innings 6 to 5.
The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings.  Queens ended up winning
it in the 10th inning.  Craig Reynolds lined a one-base hit.  Davey Lopes
followed next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Jose Cruz then was walked
intentionally.  Steve Garvey came up and he drew a walk to load the bases.
One out later, Carlton Fisk came to bat and drew a walk resulting in a mighty
exciting win for Queens and the 43,048 home town fans in attendance.  Overall
Queens out-hit Texas 15 to 11.  
McGregor(3-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 4 innings and allowing no
runs. Bob Welch(1-2) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He allowed 1 hit and
4 walks in 1 inning.
