Leon Roberts slammed a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Seattle Red Barons topped
the Texas Rangers by a score of 12 to 8 at Shea Stadium.
The Seattle fans enjoyed the offense provided by Roberts.  He doubled scoring
two baserunners in the 1st inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run
in the 4th inning and laced a base-hit in the 6th inning.  Texas was out-hit
by Seattle, 16 hits to 11.  
Randy Jones(1-0) went 6 innings allowing 5 runs for the win. Bob Knepper(0-1)
took the loss.  He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings giving up 4 hits and 2 walks.
