Craig Swan went 5 solid innings as the Alabama Vipers defeated the Montreal
Expos by a score of 9 to 6 at Viper Park.
Alabama scored 3 runs in the decisive bottom of the 7th inning.  The highlight
belonged to Jack Clark who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he
lost the ball over the fence for three runs.  Alabama had 11 hits overall,
while Montreal had 8.  
The victory went to Swan(1-0) who went 5 innings, allowing no runs. Dave
Frost(1-2) suffered the loss in relief.  He pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing
1 hit and 1 walk.
