In a lop-sided win the Queens Kings ripped the Mt Sinai Mad Dogs, 12 to 5.
Ben Oglivie was unconscious all day. The Mt Sinai fans hated to see him
approaching the batter's box as he just kept delivering base hits! He doubled
which was good for two runs in the 2nd inning, doubled in the 6th inning and
launched a three-run homer in the 9th inning. For the game Queens out-hit Mt
Sinai 15 to 10.
John Candelaria(1-0) got the win allowing 5 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Pete
Redfern took the loss. He allowed Queens 7 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings of work.
Oglivie was jubilant after the game 'Let me see a box-score' he joked, 'I want
to see how that game looks on paper.'
