The Chicago Fire nipped the Manchester Minutemen 6 to 5 at Comiskey Park in a
hard fought contest.
Chicago scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning with the help of 6 hits.
They ended up being the winning runs.  Manchester had a chance to come back
in the 9th but they came up short.  
Pete Vuckovich(2-0) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings. Tim
Stoddard earned the save, his 1st.  The losing pitcher was Dave Rozema(0-1).
He was unable to control the Chicago offense and allowed 8 hits and 3 walks
in 3 innings.
