WEB GEMS- Top 5th: Ben Oglivie robbed Gene Tenace of a Homerun!

Davey Lopes slammed a homerun at The King's Palace where the Queens Kings beat
the Seattle Red Barons 11 to 6.

Queens jumped on top of Seattle in the bottom of the 4th inning scoring a
single run on 2 hits. Lopes drew a walk. Willie McGee was next and he
grounded into a double play. Lee Lacy then delivered a base-hit. Lacy was
running on the next pitch and he stole second. Al Oliver came up to bat and
smacked a single, and an error was also committed, scoring the run. Queens
ended up with 13 hits for the game while Seattle had 9.

The winning pitcher was Mike Armstrong(1-0) who allowed no runs in 2 and 1/3
innings. Armstrong got help from Goose Gossage who earned his 1st save.
Richard Dotson(0-1) ended up with the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck
loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 2 and 2/3 innings of work.
