Ben Oglivie stepped up to the plate and he popped a two-run clout over the

Willie McGee stepped into the box and slapped a base-hit making Queens the
victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration. Queens ended up with 14

Mike Armstrong(2-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Jim
Kern(0-1) was hit with the loss in relief. 'Now there is a lesson in
perseverance for you,' Jose Cruz noted. 'It was looking pretty dim there for
a while, but we just kept plugging away and it really paid off in spades! And
it was great to see the crowd go crazy there at the end!'
