WEB GEMS- Bot 6th: Andre Dawson robbed Jeff Burroughs of a Homerun!
Andre Dawson blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Arlington Stadium as the
Seattle Red Barons beat the Texas Rangers by the count of 8 to 3.
The Texas fans didn't appreciate the big day Dawson had. He belted a
three-run homer in the 1st inning, laced a base-knock in the 3rd inning,
blasted a solo shot in the 5th inning and laced a single in the 7th inning.
Seattle had 13 hits for the game and Texas had 4.
Dave Righetti(1-0) went 7 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. Charlie Lea
was given the loss. He allowed Seattle 6 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings of work.
'I just got in the box, looked for a pitch and swung,' Dawson said. 'That's it'
