45,009 fans were treated to a fine game at Tempe Stadium as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The Seattle Red Barons won by the
slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
In the 4th inning Seattle scored 2 runs.  After two outs Chris Chambliss got
things going when he hit a single.  Mike Marshall came to the plate and
cleared the fences for a two-run home run.  Both teams ended up with 7 hits
on the night.  
Lamarr Hoyt(3-0) allowed 1 run in 6 innings, and picked up the victory. Frank
Dipino recorded his 3rd save.  Mario Soto(1-2) was the losing pitcher.
