TEAM RISP- Buckeyes: 1 for 11 Golden Seals: 3 for 6
Right fielder Jack Clark left the yard and had 2 RBI as the San Francisco
Golden Seals beat the Cleveland Buckeyes by a score of 4 to 2.
San Francisco scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning when they had 3
base hits. It was enough scoring to earn the victory. Cleveland had a
chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
The winning pitcher was Ted Power who allowed 1 run in 2/3 of an inning.
Power got help from Guillermo Hernandez who was credited with his 3rd save.
Bill Gullickson was given the loss. He pitched 6 and 2/3 innings giving
up 6 hits and 2 walks.
Scott Katzenmeyer was reflective after the loss, 'We should have won this one,
we just made one too many mistakes. Son-of-a-gun, that added a couple more
white hairs on this noggin of mine.'
