In a tight game it was the Cleveland Buckeyes 6, the Baltimore Orioles 4 at
Municipal Stadium.
Cleveland brought 2 runs across the plate in the 5th inning.  The highlight
belonged to Kirk Gibson who thrilled the crowd when he lifted one out of the
park for a two run home run.  Cleveland finished with 8 hits in the victory.
Bill Gullickson picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 6 and 1/3
innings. Gullickson got help from Rollie Fingers who earned his 1st save.
Buddy Black took the loss.  He served up 3 gopher balls in 6 innings.
