In a one-sided affiar at Erie Park the final score was the Erie Seawolves 9,
the Los Angeles Angels 2.
Erie set the tone of the game in the first inning scoring 2 runners on 2 hits.
The highlight belonged to Mike Schmidt who brought a roar from the partisan
Erie Park fans when he cleared the fences for a two-run home run.  Erie
out-hit Los Angeles for the game, 14 hits to 9.  
The win went to Frank Viola(2-0) who allowed 2 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Mark
Gubicza(0-1) ended up with the loss.  He was knocked around by Erie, allowing
8 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.
