Second baseman Frank White knocked 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI and Moose Haas had an impressive outing at Erie Park as the Los Angeles Angels, running on all cylinders, ripped the Erie Seawolves by a large 14 to 1 margin.
White was a one-man wrecking crew. He blasted a two-run home run in the 2nd inning, launched a three-run homer in the 5th inning and doubled bringing in a run in the 7th inning. Los Angeles finished with 15 hits in the victory.
The victory was credited to Haas(1-0) who went the distance, allowing 1 run. Mike Smithson(1-1) was charged with the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 6 innings of work.
'He had his 'A' game tonight,' Rick Byrens said of Haas. 'Very impressive performance.'
