The Tempe Banditos plated 4 runs in the 1st inning and cruised to a 10 to 3
victory over the Cleveland Buckeyes at Tempe Stadium.
Tempe wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning when they scored 4
runs on 4 hits. That early run support was all that Rick Mahler(1-1)
required. Tempe had 14 hits overall, while Cleveland had 5.
The losing pitcher was Britt Burns(0-1). He was not very effective,
surrendering 5 runs in 4 innings.
