Phil Bradley had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Winter Haven Hamsters topped the
Seattle Red Barons in 10 innings by a score of 5 to 4 at Shea Stadium.
The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings.  Winter Haven came out
on top in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Steve Sax started the
attack as he drew a walk.  Bradley next to the plate and he delivered a
single.  Bradley swiped second base.  Jerry Mumphrey followed and he laced a
one-base hit which was good for two runs.  Mumphrey took second on the throw.
Winter Haven had a total of 8 hits for the game.  
Greg Harris(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing no
runs. Harris was helped out by Ray Searage who recorded his 1st save.  Bill
Campbell(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief.  He gave up 1 hit and 1 walk in
1/3 of an inning.
