Shortstop Hubie Brooks ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Winter Haven
Hamsters defeated the Cleveland Buckeyes 9 to 5 at Municipal Stadium.
Brooks enjoyed a big evening at the plate.  He clubbed a two-run home run in
the 2nd inning and lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 6th inning.  Dave
Stewart(1-0) got help from Greg Harris who pitched a perfect ninth and was
credited with his 1st save.  
Bill Gullickson suffered the loss.  He served up 4 homeruns in his 6 innings.
