At Manchester Park the Cleveland Buckeyes easily handled the Manchester
Minutemen by the score of 5 to 1.
Cleveland came through with the game-winning runs in the 8th inning with 2
runs using 3 hits.  Dwight Evans started the inning off right when he drew a
walk.  After an out was recorded, Kirk Gibson stepped in and he popped a
two-run clout over the fence.  Overall Cleveland out-hit Manchester 11 to 6.
The win went to Jack Morris(1-1) who allowed 1 run in 7 and 2/3 innings. Roger
Clemens(1-1) took the loss.  He surrendered 8 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.
