In a thriling finish the Winter Haven Hamsters pulled off the win over the
Seattle Red Barons by a score of 2 to 1 at Chain of Lakes Park.
The game was won by Winter Haven with a run in the 9th inning.  Billy Ripken
reached on an error.  After an out was recorded, Phil Bradley came up and he
was walked intentionally.  Kevin Bass then singled making Winter Haven the
winners and sending the 36,695 fans home happy.  Winter Haven had 8 hits
overall, while Seattle had 5.  
Steve Bedrosian(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. Dave
Righetti(1-1) took the loss in relief.  He was pinned with the loss despite
not allowing an earned run in his 1 inning of work.
