Mike Scott didn't allow a hit until the 6th inning at Osage Park where the San
Francisco Golden Seals beat the Cleveland Buckeyes 8 to 2.
Scott pitched a solid game.  He didn't allow much, just 1 hit and 7 walks
in 7 innings.  Scott chalked up 8 strikeouts improving his ERA from 4.05 to
2.66.  The right-handed Scott lost his chance for a no-hitter when Alan
Trammell singled with one out in the 6th inning.  Overall San Francisco
out-hit Cleveland 10 to 2.  
Jack Morris was given the loss.  He surrendered 7 hits and 5 walks in 6 innings.
