Bob Brenly jacked one out of the ballyard at Osage Park as the San Francisco
Golden Seals beat the Cleveland Buckeyes 5 to 3.
San Francisco scored the decisive runs in a big bottom of the 8th inning when
they came up with 4 runs on 4 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Jack
Clark who elicited a roar from the hometown fans when he cleared the fences
for a two-run home run. San Francisco totaled 8 hits on the night.
Mark Eichhorn(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing
no runs. Dave Smith earned his 4th save. Mike Henneman(1-2) was given the
loss in relief.
San Francisco continued their winning ways, with their streak now at 6 games
and counting.
