TEAM RISP- Golden Seals: 2 for 6 Buckeyes: 1 for 3
The seemingly unstoppable San Francisco Golden Seals easily topped the
Cleveland Buckeyes; the final score was 8 to 3.
In the top of the 7th inning San Francisco scored 5 runs when they came up
with 6 base hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Dave Magadan who
deflated the crowd as he popped a two-run clout over the fence. San
Francisco out-hit Cleveland for the game, 10 hits to 5.
The victory went to Rob Murphy(1-0) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Bill Gullickson(1-1) absorbed the loss. He gave up 6 runs and 7 hits
in 6 innings.
