Dave Lapoint(1-0) gave Columbus a solid outing.  He went 6 innings allowing 6
hits and 2 walks seeing his ERA drop from 4.91 to 3.71.  Columbus totaled 9
hits on the night.  
Lapoint was helped out by Greg Minton who recorded his 1st save.  Bret
Saberhagen(0-1) was the loser.  He was unable to control the Columbus offense
and allowed 6 hits and 2 walks in 2 innings.
