The Philadelphia Warriors nipped the California Angels 6 to 5 at Comiskey Park
in a hard fought contest.
Eric Rasmussen(1-0) labored throughout the game but hung around to record a
victory. He gave up 7 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings. California threatened
in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Rasmussen got relief help from Skip Lockwood who gained credit for his 2nd
save. Frank Tanana(0-2) was hit with the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in
his 3 innings.
'Just one or two mistakes were all it took to beat us tonight' Rick Byrens
said. 'We take these games one day at a time, but this one was hard to take.'
