Jim Spencer cracked a homer and had 2 RBI as the Hollywood Stars defeated the
Philadelphia Warriors 8 to 0 at Municipal Stadium.
Hollywood claimed the early lead in the first inning as they scored 3 runs on
3 base hits.  The big moment was provided by Roy Smalley who excited the
crowd when he laced a single scoring two baserunners.  Hollywood had 10 hits
for the night while Philadelphia had 6.  
Don Hood(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 3 and 2/3 innings. Ken
Forsch(0-1) absorbed the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving
up 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
