Bill Bonham(1-0) joined a select group of baseball pitchers in Houston by tossing a perfect game as the Houston Astros defeated the Hollywood Stars 3 to nothing.
Bonham gave the home town fans an evening that they'll never forget. The tension was mounting with every inning after the 6th. Bonham appeared oblivious himself to the mounting history until two were out in the 9th. Only then, did he allow himself one deep sigh and a slow trip around the mound. Houston had a total of 10 hits for the game.
John Denny(3-5) was hit with the loss. He pitched 7 innings and surrendered 8 hits and 3 walks. 'Bonham was simply incredible' losing pitcher Denny said. 'I hate to admit this but I'd pay to watch a man pitch like that'
