Strat-O-Matic background: While in high school, learned to play hanging out at my friend Steve Asta's house, while his older brother was playing Strat with his friends....one of them was Tommy Manna (Baltimore of this league!). As a result, Tommy and I forged a friendship that has lasted ever since.
Most memorable Strat-O-Matic moment: Winning 2 titles in an NL-only league, that boasts Tommy (Baltimore), Todd Hopkins (St. Louis) and Kent Kennedy (Bismarck) as some of its members. Close 2nd: Mark Beurhle thowing not one,... but TWO no-hitters in the same season in a winter league.
