Strat-O-Matic background: I learned to play SOM waaaay back in 1969. My oldest brother Michael taught me how to play. Needless to say, I was hooked ever since. How could I not be when I was first learning with cards like Clemente, Koufax, Yaz, and all. My brother had the original seasons from the early 60's and they were so much fun to play with.
Most memorable Strat-O-Matic moment: Wow, this is a tough one. I'd have to say playing in leagues with my older brother. I've always looked up to him and when he started face to face leagues in both football and baseball back in 1978, it was something I will long remember. I could list some game memories that would fill up a page or two, but playing in those leagues were probably my most memorable.
Favorite Baseball Team: I'm more of a fan of the game and individual players. I cant attach myself to any team in today's game.
Did You Know? I'm also an avid gamer who plays all types of games. I enjoy a game called Heroclix a lot. It's a strategy based games that involves miniature figures of superheroes/comic book characters. My collection of figs is well over 400 pieces now, and I play in a tournament with a wonderful group of guys every two weeks.
