Minnesota Xpress in 13 innings 10 to 9 at Erie Park.
Both teams were tied at 9 runs apiece after nine innings. Erie ended up
winning it in the 13th inning. After an out was recorded, George Brett drew
a walk. Mike Schmidt stepped up next and he tripled resulting in an exciting
win for Erie and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans. The
game was a wild affair with the lead changing hands 5 times.
Bob Stanley(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 innings. Dyar
Miller(0-2) was the loser in relief.
