39,215 fans watched an exciting game at Osage Park. The San Francisco Golden
Seals topped the Texas Rangers by the slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.
The score was tied at 2 after nine. Finally, San Francisco pulled the game
out in the 12th inning. Rob Deer opened up the inning nicely when he drew a
walk. Dave Magadan came to the plate and drew a walk. Randy Milligan then
doubled giving San Francisco the win much to the delight of the home town
crowd. San Francisco rapped out 8 hits for the night.
The win was credited to John Wetteland(2-0) who went 1 and 2/3 innings
allowing 1 run. Alejandro Pena(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He gave up
1 hit and 1 walk without retiring a batter.
