Center fielder Kirby Puckett hit 2 doubles as the Spokane Web Gems defeated
the San Francisco Golden Seals by a score of 4 to 1 at Gold Glove
Field.
Spokane tallied 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning when they came up with
3 base hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Ken Oberkfell who
electrified Gold Glove Field when he launched a three-run homer. Both teams'
bats went to sleep after the 4th inning with no runs scored after that point.
