Left fielder Danny Heep smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Albuquerque
Dukes defeated the Great Lakes Whitecaps 9 to 4 at The Shipyard.

Heep had a big day at the plate.  He delivered a solo blast in the 2nd inning
and lofted a three-run bomb in the 6th inning.  For the game Albuquerque
out-hit Great Lakes 14 to 9.  

The win was credited to Doug Drabek(1-0) who went 5 innings allowing 3 runs.
Dennis Martinez(0-1) was given the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 9 hits
and 2 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
